Week 16 PicksPosted by at 12:17 pm
Back once again with pick. Its been a rough year picking game with the parity around the league. .5oo is looking good. And thats not saying much. On to the picks… (Note: Apologizes for last week. Looks like due to poor internet this blog didn’t upload.)
Calgary Stampeders at Toronto Argonauts
Schmidt: The Stamps need a win in Toronto to keep pace in the West. The Argos meanwhile are playing next year. Which could be good or bad. Guys are playing for jobs next year now and they could give Calgary a run. But in the end the Stamps will take this one.
Stampeders 32, Argonauts 27
Folk: The season is over for the Argos and definite changes loom in the offseason. Calgary will walk into Rogers centre and get a gift of a win. Look for Burris and the offence to use this game as a practise.
Stampeders 34, Argonauts 17
Winnipeg Blue Bombers at Edmonton Eskimos
Schmidt: The Bombers are playing well. They seem to still have a running game despite all the injuries and are in a battle in the East. The Eskimos are also fighting for first in the West and could pound the ball with Messam against the Bombers.
Eskimos 28, Blue Bombers 24
Folk: Edmonton looks to solidify first in the west as does the Bombers in the east. This is a must watch game as this could very well be a preview of the Grey Cup. I give a slight edge to the homefield turf and power running game of Edmonton.
Eskimos 27, Blue Bombers 23
Hamilton Tigercats at Montreal Alouettes
Schmidt: The Als are a hard team to figure out. But they have a lot of talent. The Tigercats have been up and down all season and look to be over matched in this big East division game.
Alouettes 36, Tigercats 30
Folk: Calvillo got all the spotlight which was well deserved last week. The Ticats are looking to show the Als that there is fight in their possible first round playoff match. I see this game as being close.
Alouettes 30, Tigercats 28
BC Lions at Saskatchewan Roughriders
Schmidt: The Riders simply put are bad. They have been getting embarrassed week after week. And they now have to face the leagues best team. It won’t be pretty.
Lions 35, Roughriders 13
Folk: The Lions embarrassed the Riders in their last meeting I look for the same outcome as the Riders just do not have the fight or leadership on their roster. If the Lions get up early look for Durant to rest and the the offence to struggle.
Lions 26, Roughriders 16
